BBC Sports Personality of the Year six-person shortlist revealed including Mary Earps, Frankie Dettori and Stuart Broad
BBC SPORT have announced the shortlist for the Sport’s Personality of the Year Award.
England Women’s star Mary Earps is the favourite to land the prize ahead of the five other nominees.

She played a pivotal role in the Lioness’ journey to the World Cup final, where she saved a penalty in the defeat to Spain.
Earps, 30, is one of the most popular England Women’s players ever and picked up the gong for the BBC Women’s Footballer of the Year last month.
The Manchester United Women’s star also picked up the Fifa Best Women’s goalkeeper award this year.
So she could have a packed trophy cabinet if she wins Sport’s Personality of the Year – though has to fight off big competition.
England cricket legend Stuart Broad, 37, is another favourite for the award after retiring following a 16-year career at international level.
He took an incredible 607 Test wickets in 167 matches – ranking him the second best ever England bowler behind Jimmy Anderson.
Golf superstar Rory McIlroy is also nominated for the award after helping Team Europe regain the Ryder Cup in September.
He also came so close to winning his first major since 2014 after finishing second at the US Open, losing out to Wyndham Clark by just one shot.

Also included on the shortlist is Katarina Johnson-Thompson who won gold in the heptathlon at the World Championships in the summer.
It is the second time the 30-year-old has achieved that feat and she has an outside chance of scooping the Spoty gong.
Horse racing legend Frankie Dettori also has a shot of winning after bringing his 36-year career in England to an end.
Alfie Hewett rounds off the six-person shortlist – the wheelchair tennis player won the Australian Open and US Open this year to take his number of grand slam wins to eight.
The awards show takes place on BBC One at 7pm today.
