Anderlecht star Francis Amuzu wins Man of the Match gong after sparkling in ‘Belgium Clasico’
Francis AmuzuGhanaian youth striker Francis Amuzu was named Man of the Match after scoring and provided an assist as Anderlecht won 3-1 at Standard Liege in the Belgian Jupiler League derby.He opened the scoring in the 23rd minute at the Stade Maurice Dufrasne on Sunday, 28 February 2021.The 21-year-old was making his 24 league appearance of the season and second goal of the campaign.After 71 minutes, Kemar Michael Lawrence doubled the lead for the visitors but seven minutes from time Selim Amallah pulled one back for Standard Liege.In injury time, Amuzu set up countryman Mohammed Dauda to score and restore their two-goal lead.Dauda had come on in the 61st minute for Abdoulay Diaby and that was his first goal in the Belgian top-flight.
