Aduana Stars forward Yahaya Mohammed is surprised after missing out on the recent list released by the technical handlers of the Black Stars for players in the domestic league invited to begin camping ahead of next month’s AFCON qualifiers.Ghana will face South Africa and Sao Tome in the next round of 2021 AFCON qualifiers.Black Stars coach Charles Kwabla Akonnor invited 32 players all locally based to begin preparations on Monday 15 February ahead of the double-header.Yahaya Mohammed who has scored six goals in the ongoing Ghana Premier League in an interview mentioned he was surprised not to be invited.I was surprised my name was not in the list. Consistency wise I am always in the list of top scorers for the past seasons in the Ghana Premier League.I know the coach has a plan for me but if not I will be very disappointed. Maybe CK wants me to wait and assess other players before he hands me a call up. They havent spoken to me though, he told Happy FM.I should have earned a call up if they were calling local-based players. I would play a major role in camp due to my experience and also other duties which will even make the work of the coach easy., he added.
