2021 AFCON Qualifiers: Ghana name surprising starting line up to face South Africa

Ghana coach Charles Kwaban Akonnor has named his starting lined up for the AFCON qualifier against South Africa.Debutants Kwame Opoku, Emmanuel Gyasi and Ismail Ganiyu are starting for the Black Stars in the penultimate AFCON qualifier at the FNB stadium.Goalkeeper Razak Abalora stays between the sticks in the absence of deputy captain Richard Ofori.Nicholas Opoku and Benson Annang join Baba Rahman and Ismail Ganiyu in defence.The midfield will be bossed by experienced duo Mubarak Wakaso and Afriyie Acquah with Kwame Opoku and Kudus Mohammed playing behind forwards Emmanuel Gyasi and Caleb Ekuban.Ghana needs a win to qualify for the Nations Cup next year.Below is the line up for the match against South Africa16.
