Youri Tielemans next club – latest odds: Arsenal trail Newcastle with Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool close behind

A transfer battle could be on our hands in the final week of the January window involving Youri Tielemans.

The Foxes appear content with losing the Belgian for free in the summer when his contract runs out, though a bidding war could erupt to save clubs waiting that long.

And if that’s the case, Newcastle are the 4/1 favourites with Sky Bet to sign him up this month.

That despite their ongoing links with fellow Leicester midfielder James Maddison.

Tielemans has spent the last four years at Leicester, after initially signing on loan from Monaco, before making the move permanent in the summer of 2019 for a club-record £41m fee.

The 25-year-old has made 183 appearances for the club, and is perhaps most fondly remembered by fans for scoring the winning goal in the 2021 FA Cup final, the club’s first time lifting the trophy in their history.

Arsenal were odds-on favourites in the summer to sign Tielemans and are still firmly in the hunt now.

They sit just behind Newcastle as 5/1 second favourites.

Manchester United seem to be in the mix too and are 9/1 to sign Tielemans in January.

They were another side strongly linked with a move just six months ago and could come back in with Scott McTominay tipped for a move away.

Chelsea and Liverpool are both in the market for central midfielders and make up the rest of the Sky Bet market.

But perhaps their eyes are elsewhere with 16/1 and 20/1 odds, respectively.
