Where has Mason Greenwood moved to?

Mason Greenwood has joined Spanish La Liga team Getafe on a season-long loan from Manchester United.

After 19 months of inactivity at Manchester United, the player has made the move to the Spanish club.

The charges were dropped in February 2023 after key witnesses withdrew from the investigation and new evidence came to light.

Greenwood denied all charges, maintaining his innocence from the beginning.

Since the charges were dropped, Manchester United faced increasing pressure to drop the player from their roster.

In a statement released by the club in August 2023, Manchester United announced that Greenwood would be leaving Old Trafford.

A Man United statement said: “Mason Greenwood has signed for La Liga side Getafe CF on a season-long loan, subject to international clearance.

“The move enables Greenwood to begin to rebuild his career away from Manchester United.”

The statement went on to say that the club will continue to provide support to Greenwood and his family.

After Man United concluded their internal investigation, Greenwood said: “I fully accept I made mistakes and I take my share of responsibility.”

Greenwood remains contracted with Manchester United until June 2025 with the option to extend for another year.
