FORMER Manchester United man Fred thought he had scored a stunning goal on his Fenerbahce debut… only for it to be ruled out for offside.
The Brazilian, 30, joined the Turkish giants earlier this month in a £13million deal.

And he began life with a 2-0 win away at Samsunspor as last year’s Turkish Super Lig runners-up look to close the gap to Galatasaray in the 2022/23 campaign.
But Fred, who impressed before being taken off in the 85th minute, was denied a goal to go with his debut win after his strike was ruled out for offside.
A clipped ball over the top deflected off a defender and looped into the path of the midfielder.
He watched it drop from the sky and volleyed it superbly into roof of the net.
Fred then took off as he sprinted to the corner where Fenerbahce‘s substitutes celebrated with him.
But moments later those scenes would be cut short as the goal was disallowed.
Reacting on social media, one person said: “Fred’s goal got disallowed, fuming.”
Another added: “Sad his goal was disallowed for an offside.”
While a third replied: “Goal was disallowed, boo.”
He opened the scoring shortly after the hour mark, before Polish international Sebastian Szymanski made sure of the points in stoppage time.
Fenerbahce already hold a two-point lead over the rest of the Turkish Super Lig as they are the only team to have won their opening two games.
