Villareal FC shocked Juventus after beating them 3-0 in Turin at the knockout stage of the UEFA Champions League. This was the second leg after the first leg ended 1-1 at the Ceramica Stadium.
All goals were scored in the second half during the last 12 minutes of the game. Gerard Moreno scored from the spot on the 78th minute after which Pau Torres scored the second goal after 85 minutes of play. Villareal scored the third goal from another penalty which was converted by Arnaut Danjuma Groeneveld.

In other games, Chelsea won 3-1 against Lille OC in France. Chelsea went down by a goal but were lucky as Christian Pulisic equalized just before the half time break. The Blues went ahead to score two more goals in the second half to put the game beyond Lille.
Chelsea thus qualify to the quarter finals on 4-1 aggregate. They won 2-0 in the first leg.
Atletico Madrid also qualified on Tuesday night after beating Manchester United by a lone goal at Old Trafford. The Red Devils held Atletico to a 1-1 draw in Spain a fortnight ago.
Benfica CF also won away in Amsterdam after pipping Ajax FC by a lone goal. The Portuguese side qualify on 1-0 aggregate.
Real Madrid have also qualified to the quarter finals at the expense of Paris St Germain. They came from behind to beat PSG 3-1 at Santiago Bernabau to qualify on 3-2 aggregate.
Other teams who are qualified are Manchester City and Liverpool. The English teams all qualified last week. All eight teams would be paired in the quarter finals in a draw on Friday, March 18, 2022 at Nyon.
