Transfer: Cristiano Ronaldo Linked With Manchester City Move
Portugal professional footballer who plays as a forward for Seria A club, Juventus, Cristiano Ronaldo, has been linked for Manchester City move.
The UK Mirror reports that the English Premier League club could sign the 36-year-old player this summer.
Naija News understands that Ronaldo has one year left on his current contract with Juve. He has been, however, linked with a transfer to Etihad this summer. Although Manchester United is also linked with the Portugal captain. The club, however, is about to dole out £73million for Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
In the past, City boss, Pep Guardiola has spoken positively about having a player like the five-time Ballon d’Or winner play in his squad.
He said: “We don’t have a single player who can win a game, we don’t have a Cristiano, a [Lionel] Messi, a Neymar.
“We don’t have these types of players who can win games by themselves. I told the players many times, you have to play as a team.
“I will be honest. I’d like to have a player to score, every single game, four goals and run like these players can run. I would love it,” he said.
Meanwhile, Seria A club, Inter Milan has announced that they will not be travelling to the United States of America for the Florida Cup due to a spike in the cases of COVID-19 disease.
Naija News report that the cancellation of the trip was contained in an official statement released by the club on Wednesday, July 21.
