TI AMASS RETURN TO WINNING WAYS AS INTER SCHOOLS SPORTS SET-OFF
Inter Schools and Colleges Sports in Ashanti Region was revived after a long break. The first event was the Inter Schools Cross Country Competition.
It must be recalled that sporting activities for second cycle schools were halted as a result of covid-19.
The event took place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Saturday, June 11, 2022. TI Ahmadiyya Senior High School, Kumasi came first the boys and girls competitions.
TI Amass exhibited that they were not affected by the long break as they once again dominated sporting activities in the region.
For the Boys competition, Amidu Hamza of TI Amass won the competition with a time of 23.39.97 minutes. Matthew Damal of OKESS came second with 27.41.50. Kumasi High School’s Emmanuel Tetteh came third with 28.00. 16.
Abdul Gafaru Fuseini, Mohammed Hamza and Raphael Mamitey all of TI Amass came 7th, 8th and 9th respectively. Opoku Ware could not win any medal as Bernard Tampuli came 6th with 28.28.13

For the Girls competition, TI Amass won with a time of 15.28.62. Naomi Addo ensured Amass confirmed their status in the competition. With time of 15.29.42, Navanea Achike of Islamic SHS placed second. The third position was taken by OKESS’ Ramata Abdulai with time of 15.44.04.
