COX HOPE CAN JUST BRING IT TO HAYDOCK
JUST BRING IT looks good for Saturday’s big betting race – the Silver Bowl at Haydock.
Clive Cox’s hope caught the eye with an excellent effort over this mile trip when second at Newmarket last time.
He showed a sharp turn of foot to hit the front before being just collared inside the final furlong.
His move into the lead was impressive especially as he didn’t handle the dip all that well. He’ll have no such issue at flat Haydock and a 1lb rise in the weights is more than fair.
Current offers of 16-1 look generous each-way so fingers crossed he makes the final field.

ROYAL SCOTSMAN CAN GRAB GUINEAS
ROYAL SCOTSMAN has another crack at a 2,000 Guineas when he lines up at The Curragh this weekend.
I thought it was a miracle that he managed to finish third in the Newmarket version last time.
Paul and Oliver Cole’s colt pulled Jim Crowley’s arms out for most of the way yet still had enough power to keep going.
The heavy ground at HQ wouldn’t have been to his liking either as he travelled much more sweetly when a neck second in the Dewhurst there in quicker conditions.
Hopefully that first run will have taken some of the freshness out of him and he can settle better this Saturday. If he does, he has a massive chance of landing the Classic.
I don’t think his current price of 9-4 will get much shorter.

MY PROSPERO A PROSPECT OVER 1m2f
Looking to Royal Ascot next month – and the Coral-Eclipse afterwards, MY PROSPERO looks a good price for those contests.
William Haggas’s four-year-old did well at Group 1 level last season with a close third in the St James’s Palace Stakes and he signed off with a half-length beating in the Champion Stakes.
He relished the 1m2f trip there so it was a slight surprise to see him in the Lockinge at Newbury last weekend over a mile.
He ran exactly as you might expect for a horse that needs a longer trip. He travelled nicely before being outpaced into fourth late on.
That was an excellent effort and he should be fitter for it.
Haggas will surely up him to 1m2f for the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot where he is a good each-way bet at 10-1. He is likely to be shorter on the day.
He is the same price for July’s Coral-Eclipse which is another suitable target and I’ve had a little nibble about him there too.
