Premier League: Two Man United Players Get New Shirt Numbers

Manchester United has ahead of the 22/2023 English Premier League season given two players new shirt numbers, Naija News understands.

The two young talents are Alejandro Garnacho and Alvaro Fernandez.

Naija News understands that the two players, who are 17 and 19 years respectively and have just graduated from the club’s academy, made their first appearance at training with the senior team this week.

The Red Devil’s new manager, Erik ten Hag was said to have commenced observation on the two young talents within the week even as he tries to get more familiar with the first team ahead of the new season.

SportlingLife reports that Garnacho donned the number 49 in training after wearing 75 last season while Fernandez wore number 42, having been assigned 74 last term.

It is understood this will be the players’ new matchday shirt numbers for the 2022/2023 season.

Meanwhile, Chelsea is hoping to sign Manchester United star player, Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
