Monza coach develops plan to protect Kevin-Prince Boateng from injuries

Kevin-Prince BoatengAC Monza has developed a special plan to protect midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng from injuries, with the season at the business end. Boateng has been struggling with injuries this season, therefore Monza coach Cristian Brocchi has decided not to overload him with games.In February, he picked up his second injury, ruling him out of two games. Since he returned, Boateng has played five out of eight games. Of the three games missed, Boateng was not included in the squad on two occasions, while being left on the bench once.Boateng lasted 71 minutes as Monza beat Cremonese 2-1 last weekend to stay in the hunt for Serie A promotion. Ahead of that, he was not part of the squad as Monza suffered a 1-0 defeat against Ascoli on April 10.The win against Cremonese ended Monzas run of three games without victory.Boateng has scored five goals and assisted four in 23 games this season.
