Naija News understands that the Community Shield tie had been scheduled for play on July 30, 2022.

The match would be played just a week before the commencement of the 2022/2023 Premier League season, while the final of Women Euros comes up July 31.

The next Premier League season will kick off on 6 August.

The upcoming English football season was scheduled to kick start earlier so as to accommodate the November-December Qatar World Cup schedule.
