City and Spurs meet this Thursday, both fresh off the back of derby heartache last weekend.
Jack Grealish’s instant impact off the bench looked to set to hand the Citizens yet another win over Manchester United, before the Reds turned it around to win 2-1.
City could go into this one in third spot, with United playing Crystal Palace 24 hours earlier.
Worse, though, is they sit eight points behind leaders Arsenal heading into the clash with their North London rivals.
That’s because of Spurs’ dreadful showing in the derby on Sunday, a match in which they were completely dominated by the Gunners.
Antonio Conte’s men badly need a response as they now sit five points behind Newcastle in the top four race.

As mentioned, Spurs have beaten City in four of their last six meetings.
That includes a double in the Premier League last year.
City recently beat the North Londoners in the League Cup final in 2021.

It’s never easy trying to predict a Pep Guardiola line-up, though we do know that Ruben Dias and John Stones are both again likely to miss out here.
Jack Grealish is pushing for a starting spot after his impact from the bench at the weekend at the expense of a largely ineffective Phil Foden.
Ilkay Gundogan could push to return, with Aymeric Laporte also potentially making a return to the heart of the City defence.
