Liverpool Agrees To Sign Fulham’s Fabio Carvalho, Medical Completed
Top football pundits and club insiders have confirmed that Liverpool has agreed to sign Fabio Carvalho from Fulham.
The 19-year-old talent currently plays as a winger or attacking midfielder for the EFL Championship club, Naija News understands.
Carvalho’s current contract with Fulham expires in the summer.
The Portuguese have the opportunity to move for free to teams overseas, clubs in England will have to pay a tribunal fee or agree on a transfer with Fulham, which Liverpool has now reportedly addressed.
Naija News understands that a signing clause of £5 million-plus add-ons was agreed upon for the young talent.
Jurgen Klopp’s side had moved to bring the attacking midfielder in during the January transfer window.
A deal appeared to be close on deadline day, only for the 19-year-old to stay in west London after time ran out for a move to be completed.
Carvalho has now agreed on personal terms with Liverpool and completed a medical.
This means he will join the Premier League club on July 1. A 20 per cent sell-on fee and a further £2.7 million in add-ons are included in the player’s deal.
Cavalho is expected to sign on paper a contract deal to remain at Anfield until the summer of 2027.
Popular sports journalist, Fabrizo Romano has confirmed this in a post on his verified Twitter page.
