Kwadwo Asamoah starts for the first time as Cagliari beat Udinese

Kwadwo AsamoahCagliari manager Leonardo Semplici made a surprise decision by handing Kwadwo Asamoah his first start since the Ghanaian joined the club in February.The former Juventus and Inter Milan started in Cagliaris 1-0 win against Udinese in Serie A on Wednesday night.Asamoah had been limited to substitute appearances since he arrived at the club on a free transfer.But on Wednesday night, Semplici included the 32-year-old in the starting line-up to face Udinese at the Stadio Friuli in Udine.Asamoah was assigned to the left-wing position and he did not let the coach down.His performance on the night was impressive and helped Cagliari secure victory to boost their survival hopes.Asamoah has now featured in six games since his debut on February 28.
