KOTOKO CEO MAKES SHOCKING REVEALATIONS ABOUT THE CLUB

Nana Yaw Amponsah has revealed that his club, Asante Kotoko failed to achieve their set objective for the first round of the league. The Chief Executive Officer for Kotoko made this known in an interview with Kumasi based radio station, Oyerepa FM on several sensitive issues concerning the Porcupine Warriors..

“We didn’t meet our target for the first round of the league, our target was to amass 40 points. One of the surprises I have had is that we have lost two matches,”

He further confirmed that the new bus acquired for Kumasi Asante Kotoko cost Two million Ghana Cedis.

“I brought investors to the Baba Yara Stadium twice to showcase our huge supporters numbers but frankly they disappointed and didn’t come in their numbers as expected. I was left disappointed and the investors asked me where are the massive supporters you told us about,” he further revealed.

Mr Amponsah further affirmed that “I am currently focused on present mandate and I will continue to do my best so if I am handed additional mandate I will continue to work for Kotoko”. “We realized that there were people who weren’t coming to the stadium physically but could contribute some money through the Virtual Seat Challenge to support the club,”

He appealed to the supporters of Kotoko to embrace new policies by management to help the club secure a strong financial base. “We need 100,000 committed supporters to pay $100 each to build a stadium in 18 months “

On player sale, Nana Yaw Amponsah said “As at this stage, I can say that no player will exit the club till the end of the season. We will decide whether a player would leave the club or not depending on the club’s financial strength,”
