Inside Ajax’s descent into farce after Ten Hag departure as entire team turn on coaching staff with Dutch side fifth

AJAX’S campaign is in turmoil after their ENTIRE squad turned on the coaching staff and Alfred Schreuder ahead of their clash with Feyenoord.

Schreuder replaced Erik ten Hag last summer, but the Amsterdam giants are currently fifth in Eredivisie following a dreadful run of results.

Ajax were league leaders at the beginning of November, but they’ve been not won for more than three months.

As a result, they trail Feyenoord by five points after they could only draw with them on Sunday.

It was their SIXTH top-flight game in succession without victory.

And his job appears to be hanging in the balance after players turned on him and his coaching staff ahead of the De Klassieker.

According to De Telegraaf, they were asked by mental coach Joost Leenders whether they unhappy with the staff.

And the majority of the squad raised their hands.

The report claimed that ‘most, if not all’ were unsatified with the current situation under Schreuder.

Despite their dreadful form, Ajax have the chance to get their season back on track with their next four games against teams in the bottom eight.

But they’re in danger of finishing outside the top two for the first time since 2008-09, which would see them fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Although they’re still in the Europa League and going all the way in that competition would be enough for a place amongst Europe’s elite next season.
