THIS is the hilarious moment that two women invaded a race track and tried to jump over the rail – before it all went wrong.

The pair were filmed ducking beneath the rail at the side of Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, where the Grand National is held every year.

They are believed to have trespassed at the Melling Road section of the iconic track, where many thoroughbreds have fallen in the Grand National over the years.

The footage was filmed in 2019, but has gone viral during the past few days as racegoers’ antics at Cheltenham delight the nation.

Both women discarded their high heels before galloping across the race track in the hoof-steps of Red Rum and Comply or Die.

One of them can be seen approaching a side-rail before attempting to vault it, like a jockey soaring over Becher’s Book.

But her hopes of glory were undone as the rail folded beneath her, sending her tumbling head over heels onto the turf.

Unlike many of the contenders who fall during the Grand National, she was apparently unhurt, rolling around on the grass before raising her arms in triumph.

Cheering can be heard from the grandstand, over the top of Beyonce’s Single Ladies.

Many punters were stunned by the hilarious trackside footage.

Daniel said: “She’s now in hospital in a stable condition.”

Liam said: “We used to rule half the world – now this.”

Carl said: “She got further than most of my Grand National bets.”

It comes after a Cheltenham racegoer left fans stunned by wearing two Domino’s pizza boxes as a hat.

Ladies’ Day kicked off in style at Cheltenham today, with glamorous guests including Carol Vorderman pulling out all the stops with their outfits.
