Ghanaian striker Abdul Basit Khalid clinches Tunisian league title with Esperance Sportive de Tunis

Ghanaian forward Abdul Basit Khalid has won his first major trophy at Esprance Tunis on Saturday following a win over Stade Tunisien.Esprance were confirmed winners of the 2020/2021 league championship after beating Stade Tunisien 1-0 at away.With three matches to conclude the season, Esprance have 59 points from 23 matches with Etoile Sahel behind them with 46 points after 22 rounds.The Gold and Blood outfit have clinched the championship for the 5th time in a row 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.Esprance extend the number of league titles in the history of the championship to 31 as they are the club with most titlesKhalid joined the Tunisian giants in the January transfer window and has since made 11 appearances, scoring two goals with one assist.
