Ghanaian defender Stephan Ambrosius’ annual salary at Hamburg revealed
German-born Ghanaian defender, Stephan Ambrosius’ salary at Bundesliga II Hamburg SV has been revealed.The versatile player earns around 650,000 euros a year, according to the SPORTS BILD.His performances this season has left fans wondering why he takes such amount as his annual salary.Meanwhile, reports reveal his salary will be doubled if Hamburg earns promotion to the Bundesliga.Stephan Ambrosius is however attracting interest abroad with the likes of Celtic, Leeds, and two other clubs.But the 21-year-old is tied to Hamburg till the summer of 2024.”A change was out of the question for me,” Ambrosius told the magazine when asked of his future. “If I were promoted to HSV, I would fulfill a dream in my hometown of Hamburg, that’s my big goal,” he added.Ambrosius moved to Hamburg in 2012 from rivals St. Pauli. “He made me feel that he trusted me and relied on me right from the start. I benefited most from Daniel Thioune. I appreciate that,” the German youth international said about manager Daniel Thioune.He has made 16 appearances as Hamburg lie top of the Bundesliga table.
