Ghana striker Caleb Ekuban marks 100th appearance for Trabzonspor with a goal in stalemate against Goztepe
Ghana forward Caleb Ekuban chalked a monumental feat when he scored to rescue a point against Goztepe on his 100th match for Trabzonspor on Wednesday.Ekuban initially joined the Black Sea Stormers on a one-year loan contract from English side Leeds United during the 2018/19 season.The 27-year-olds impressive performance promoted Trabzonspor to sign him on a permanent deal.On Wednesday, the Ghana international clocked his 100th game for Abdullah Avcis side with a goal as Trabzonspor rallied to hold Goztepe in the 38th week of the Turkish Supalig.Goztepe had opened the scoring through veteran Macedonian forward Adis Jahovic on the stroke of half time.The former Chievo Verona striker has scored 28 goals and 17 assists in 100 matches with the burgundy-blue team.He could have contributed more but for injuries and Covid-19 issues.Ekuban has missed a total of 28 matches due to his injury and illnesses.
