Ghana scores two goals as Africa fail to secure a win in first round of 2022 World Cup

The first round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup has ended with all African teams failing to win a game. Africa has five countries representing the continent.

Senegal, Morrocco, Tunisia, Cameroon and Ghana are the countries carrying the hopes of African football in Qatar.

Ghana has been the only team to have scored a goal for Africa. Unfortunately, they lost 3-2 to Portugal on Thursday evening.

Andre Ayew and Bukari Osman scored the goals for Ghana. Tunisia and Morocco are the only team to have secured points for Africa.

Tunisia held Denmark to a goalless draw as their North Africans brothers also drew goalless with Croatian on Wednesday.

Senegal also lost by two goals to Netherlands on Monday night. The Teranga Lions exhibited high hopes in the first half of their first game in Group A.

They could not hold their night against the Orange of Europe after conceding two goals in the last quarter of the second half.

Cameroun also failed to make the experience count after losing to Switzerland by a lone goal. The Indomitable Lions could not convert their numerous chances created.
