Ghana defender Nicholas Opoku sees red in Amiens victory over Valenciennes
Ghana defender Nicholas Opoku received a red card as Amiens SC produced a strong finish to beat Valenciennes in the French Ligue 2 on Friday night.Opoku was shown the marching orders in the 55th minute after fouling a Valenciennes player in the box resulting in a penalty, which was missed by Teddy Chevalier. The former Club Africain player received his first caution in the 23rd minute.Despite being a man down, Amiens ended the game strongly with Miikael Alphonse and Iron Gomis scoring in the space of four minutes in the final ten minutes of the game.Nicolas Opoku’s compatriot Emmanuel Lomotey lasted the entire duration of the match.
