GFA boss Kurt Okraku is on the right track – John Painstil
Former Ghana international John Paintsil has been impressed by the work done so far by Ghana Football Association(GFA) President Kurt Okraku and has urged him to do more.The former West Ham and Fulham right full-back believes Okraku is on the right track and should be supported.Okraku has been in charge of the local football governing body since October 2019 and recently celebrated his first major trophy as Black Satellites won the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations tournament in Mauritania.Kurt Okraku has been following football for a long time. I have known him way back in London [when I played for West Ham and Fulham].As a football administrator, without a better system and structure, you can’t be successful, and I think Kurt Okraku has put the right measures in place. He is doing a good job amid the coronavirus pandemic, he said.Paintsil ventured into coaching following his retirement in 2016. Few months after retiring, he was appointed assistant coach of South African side Kaizer Chiefs. He also trained WA All Stars (now known as Legon Cities).The 39-year-old is working on accumulating more coaching badges. He currently holds the CAF License C certificate.
