Four-time Champions League Winner, Bale Is Leaving Real Madrid – Ancelotti

After spending nine years of his football career at Real Madrid, Welsh international, Gareth Bale will leave the Spanish club at the end of the current season.

Popular football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano quoted the club manager, Carlo Ancelotti as saying.

According to him, the four-time Champions League winner will depart Santiago Bernabeu when his current contract with the club expires this summer.

Naija News reports that the update is coming a few hours ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League round of 16 first-leg tie with PSG on Tuesday night.

Naija News recalls that Bale joined Real Madrid from Tottenham Hotspur in 2013 for a then world-record fee of £86million, surpassing the previous record fee of £80m for forward, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Welsh player started off his career at the right-hand side in a front three containing Ronaldo and Karim Benzema (BBC).

Aside from the four Champions League titles, the 32-year-old has also won two La Liga titles, three UEFA Super Cups, three Spanish Super Cups, four Club World Cups and one Copa Del Rey title with Real Madrid.
