But he was left stunned during a session at the Jurrasic Fishing Park in Thailand – where he caught a huge 130lbs carp.

Sergio shared snaps of himself with the mammoth carp – which was almost the full length of his body – with his 235,000 Instagram followers.

Bellator’s 135lbs champion’s accompanying caption read: “I been talking about going to @jurassicfishingpark for years.

“And thank God they had a day available. Caught a 130-pound carp it fought so hard.

“Lost some pounds in that Thailand heat fighting these fish.

“We caught 9 lost 5.

“Epic day highly recommend to all who like fishing what a resort.”

Pettis’ stunned followers were quick to comment, with one saying: “This is awesome!!!”

Another said: “Looks photoshopped to me “

And another said: “Wowww.”

One remarked: “So the fish is in your weight division.”

Another chimed in: “Your monster carp put up a good fight, but you came out on top!”

The waters of the Jurassic Fishing Park are famed for its large fish, with Pacu, Redtail Catfish and Alligator Gar just a few of the species present.

Former UFC bantamweight Sergio was last in action in June at Bellator 297, where he defeated Patricio Pitbull via decision to retain his title.

He’ll be in action on November 17, defending his crown against Patchy Mix at Bellator 301 in Chicago.
