Former Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong reveals the best time of his career was in Russia


Former Ghana International and ex-Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong has disclosed that the best time of his career was when he was plying his trade in Russia.Frimpong, 29, spent three seasons in Russia, playing for Ufa and Arsenal Tula and it was in the Eastern European country that he enjoyed more game time after injuries and disciplinary issues marred the start of his career.The ex-Gunner had to prematurely end his footballing career following injuries with his last club in Sweden.”Of course! It was cool!I had a great time in Russia.This is the best period in my career,” he told Sport 24.”Everything was fine there: the club, the fans, the city. If I had the opportunity to return, I would certainly do it!,” he added.The English-born is currently in Ghana enjoying retirement, ruling out the possibility if a return despite links with Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko early this year.
