EPL: Ronaldo’s Playing Position At Man United Revealed

After completing his medicals at Manchester United, Portuguese professional footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo, has been assigned the role of a centre-forward.

United manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed this on Monday, August 30, Naija News understands.

The English Premier League club had announced they had reached an agreement with Juventus to re-sign the 36-ear-old forward on Friday.

A whooping €15m (£12.87m) plus a further €8m (£6.86m) in add-ons was splashed to get the Portugal captain back to Old Trafford where he had made a name for himself many years back.

Speaking on Ronaldo’s playing position during an interview on Monday, Solskjaer said he wants the 36-year-old “in the box scoring goals”.

Ronaldo had played as a winger and a striker during his historic career, many pundits have wondered how he will fit into United’s current squad.

Speaking after their 1-0 win at Wolves, Solskjaer said: “Cristiano has evolved as a player.

“He used to play wide right. But he’s more of a centre-forward for me at the moment. Definitely.

“But there’ll be games where we play two up front. But I want him in the box. I want him scoring goals.”
