England vs Malta blighted by tech issues as fans fear ‘nuke threat’ and commentary disappears

ENGLAND fans fumed as Channel 4’s coverage of the match against Malta suffered a massive blunder.

Declan Rice had just put the Three Lions 2-0 up when the broadcaster experienced a tech issue.

Channel 4’s coverage of England went down

Viewers saw TV coverage cut to an error screen with a loud bleeping noise over the top.

This only lasted a few seconds before the video feed was restored.

However, fans were then left without commentary of the match.

Another brief blackout would follow before all the technical issues were resolved.

Reacting to the technical issue, one fan said: “I thought that was the end of the world nuke video prank thingy but for real there. Life flashed before my eyes. Cheers Channel 4.”
