Done Deal Transfers: Darwin Nunez’s Expected Move To Liverpool – All You Need To Know

English Premier League side, Liverpool is close to completing Darwin Nunez’s signing to Anfield.

The Reds would watch Senegal star player, Sadio Mane leaves the club this summer as the striker is set to further his career with Bundesliga side, Bayern Munich in a couple of days according to multiple reports.

Liverpool is targeting to make a formidable five front including Mohamed Salah, Diogo Jota, Firminho, Luiz Diaz, and Nunez this Premier League season.

The Reds have also made move to make Nunez become the most expensive signing in Liverpool’s history after they offered to release the sum of £85 million (€100m/$105m) for the Benfica player.

Reports are that a medical will take place on Monday and Nunez is expected to sign a contract at Anfield until 2028.

Liverpool’s director of football, Julian Ward, was said to have arrived in Portugal the last weekend to try to complete the transfer, with negotiations centred on the structure of the deal.

Meanwhile, Dutch professional footballer who currently plays as a midfielder for Barcelona, Frenkie de Jong, has reportedly agreed on personal terms to join Manchester United this summer.

The 25-year-old according to reports has agreed to play for the Red Devils starting this 2022/2023 Premier League season despite the club refusing to qualify for the next UEFA Champions League.

De Jong’s initial plan was to remain in Barcelona. Man United manager Erik ten Hag is, however, interested in signing the Netherlands international which has now given a green light.

Barcelona already had made it open that the 25-year-old is leaving the club, this is as the club currently suffers extreme financial issues and is ready to cash in on one of its prized assets.

Reports on Friday affirmed that De Jong has privately admitted he is ready to join the Premier League side after initial doubts.
