Ghana defender Daniel Amarteys late strike for Leicester City against Brighton has helped the Foxes to leapfrog Manchester United into 2nd place on the Premier League standings.Leicester City traveledto the AMEX Stadium hoping to put a poor run of form behind them as they continue to push for a spot in the Champions League.Brendan Rodgers had seen his side lose two of their last three games in all competitions – with their last win coming away at Aston Villa in late February.They drew 1-1 with Burnley last time out and are in danger of becoming dragged into a scrap for a top four place.However, the Foxes redeemed themselves with a vital 2-1 victory against Brighton to move into 2nd place on the table.Adam Lallana put the Seagulls ahead with a fine goal in the 10th minute.Leciester fought back to level the scoreline through Kelechi Iheanacho in the 64th minute.The game appeared to be heading to a draw until Daniel Amartey popped up with the winning strike in the 87th minute.The versatile guardsman was at the right place at the right time to nod home Marc Albrightons wonderful corner kick.Amartey has netted 1 goal in 11 appearances for the club so far this season.
