Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson gives Jeffrey Schlupp update ahead of Leicester City clash

Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson is excited by fitness of Jeffrey Schlupp and the rest of his squad ahead of Monday’s visit to Leicester City in the Premier League.Schlupp is recovering to full fitness and best form after spending a one-month on the sidelines.He returned to action two matchdays ago.The Ghana international has made an impact for the Eagles since his return having provided back-to-back assists against Everton and Chelsea.”Weve got a lot of players back, good news, Hodgson said in his pre-match press conference on Thursday.”Schlupp, [Mamadou] Sakho and [James] Tomkins are training. As big a group for a long time. [James] McArthur isnt back yet, [Gary] Cahill has a minor problem but were hoping hell be back in time for Monday.”[Connor] Wickham and [Nathan] Ferguson are out training but not with the squad yet.”I think that’s about it. I mean, to be honest, weve had so many in the past in the treatment room, it seems quite strange that I can name them now so quickly off the top of my head.”Schlupp has made 20 league appearances involving 12 starts for Palace this season where he has two goals and three assists to his credit.”We’ve got seven games actually, played one less so we’ve got a very hectic period coming up after the match on Monday. The next six will be played in quick succession,” Hodgson added.”Yeah, we feel pressure from the teams below us, because we’ve been pretty much in the middle of the table right the way through.
