Coach Bashiru Hayford is bold, the rest are easily influenced in team selection – Coach JE Sarpong

Bashiru HayfordLegon Cities coach Bashiru Hayford is among a few coaches in the country who will not allow anybody to influence their team selection according to veteran Ghanaian football coach Joseph Emmanuel Sarpong.Coach Sarpong took a swipe at active coaches in the country saying most of them due to fear of losing their jobs kowtow to their employers.We need coaches who are bold and cannot be influenced in their team selection. In Ghana only a few coaches are bold. I, Coach Edusei, Afranie, and most of them are late”, Coach Sarpong said in an interview on Happy FM.With our current coaches, most of them are not bold with the exception of Bashiru Hayford and Karim Zito. With Zito I will say there is a doubt because of his affiliation to the current administration. In those days you cannot dictate to me, Coach Afranie and Coach Herbert Addo.Sarpong commended Bashiru Hayford and Karim Zito as are the only two coaches that will not allow any administrator or FA top official to influence their call-ups or team selection.He added that the Black Stars can win the Africa Cup of Nations title if only the right players are selected for the tournament.
