Cheltenham Festival punter has Hinge match to thank for big win as private conversation on dating app goes viral

CHELTENHAM FESTIVAL fans were left in hysterics as a punter secured £50 in winnings after discussing his bet with a woman on the dating app Hinge.

Bettor Dylan shared a screenshot of a conversation he had with a woman called Liv that he matched with on the app.

In the chat, you can see him starting the conversation by saying: “Pick a number between 1 and 29.”

She replies: “Urmm 14.”

He then responds: “I’ve put a bet on no.14 to win at the horse races today x.

“Let’s hope you’re a lucky charm.”

Coincidentally, No14 in the Coral Cup Handicap Hurdle at Cheltenham was Langer Dan.

And, jockeyed by Harry Skelton, it went on to win the race on Wednesday afternoon.

Dylan was quick to share the brilliant way in which he came to selecting the winning horse, posting the conversation and a betting slip of the £5 stake which returned £50.

He added the caption: “A true love story.”

To which Liv jokingly replied: “We’re now married, two kids deep, third on the way, two little dogs.”

And those on social media were quick to react in hilarious fashion.

One said: “Take her out with the 50 euros you won, only fair IMO.”
