Sampson Agyapong discharged from the hospital and has rejoined his teammates.Ghana midfielder Sampson Agyapong has been ruled out for the rest of the CAF U20 Cup of Nations in Mauritania despite regaining consciousness after a cringe-worthy injury last Friday.The WAFA player collapsed on the pitch after being kicked accidentally in the head by a Moroccan player.He was rushed to the hospital where he spent the night but released the next day to rejoin his teammates in camp.With the severity of the injury and psychological damage, the player cannot be used for the rest of the tournament.”On reaching the hospital on Saturday evening, initial resuscitation was done on the player and when he was stabilized, he was taken through the medical routine of evaluating a patient with such conditions,” Black Satellites team doctor Ernest Opare is quoted by the Ghana FA.The CT scans conducted on the head, the neck and his abdomen were all normal. Before he was discharged on Saturday afternoon, a cardiac assessment was conducted and we await a full report from the hospital.”Ghana need at least a draw in their last match against Gambia to secure qualification to the quarter-finals of the competition.
