Black Stars players to start departing on Monday to Europe after Afcon qualification
Black StarsEuropean-based Ghanaian will depart to their respective clubs after helping the Black Stars qualify for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations. The players are expected to leave Ghana on Monday night to reunite with their teammates ahead of club football return this weekend.Andre Ayew, his brother Jordan Ayew and Thomas Partey will not quarantine on their return to England as they did not travel to UK red-list country, South Africa.But, Colchester United midfielder Kwame Afriyie Poku, who made his debut against Sao Tome and Principe, will quarantine for 10 days because he made the trip to Johannesburg.Black Stars played two games during the international break. They faced South Africa, which ended in a 1-1 stalemate to secure their qualification to Afcon finals in Cameroon.And then, they hosted Sao Tome and Principe in Accra. The match ended 3-1 thanks to improved performance.
