A DARTS fan has gone viral after showing off a huge tattoo of Gerwyn Price on his arm.

But the inking has received a lukewarm reception, with one punter warning the darts fan is in for “a lifetime of regret.”

TwitterThe Welshman loved the inking, but it received mixed support from other darts lovers[/caption]

Price, 37, is the current World No4 after reaching the quarters of this year’s PDC World Championship while wearing a pair of ear-defenders.

And he is still regarded as one of the best in the business after winning the famous trophy just two years ago.

However, one fan has taken his support for Price to a new level.

The darts-mad punter saw a lifelong wish come true when he ran into the Welshman this month.

And he made Price’s day by unveiling a full-size tattoo of the ace’s face screaming in celebration.

Price looked to enjoy the moment as he posed for a photo next to the inking.

But other darts fans were less enamoured, with one saying: “I see a lifetime of regret in his future!”

Another laughed: “Is it Annie Wilkes in Misery?”

One declared: “You forgot the ear muffs.”

Another added: “Why does he have a tattoo of Phil Jones?”

However, there were a few supportive comments, with one fan saying: “I love it!”

Another added: “This man should be loved by so many, he’s amazing on the oche.”

It remains to be seen if Price plays at Ally Pally again after he threatened to boycott the venue due to being booed by fans.

His comments came after he apologised for appearing to mock disabled people while on the oche in December.

Price wrote online earlier this month: “So frustrating, you play all year round preparing for this one tournament.

“So gutted I wasn’t let play but Good luck everyone left in. Not sure I will ever play in this event again.”
