In other news, English Premier League club, Liverpool has commiserated with Egypt international, Mohamed Salah after losing the 2021 African Cup of Nations, AFCON, title to his teammate, Sadio Mane.

Naija News reports that Senegal yesterday won their first-ever AFCON title after beating Egypt on penalties.

Both national teams displayed an overwhelming passion for their nations at the 2021 AFCON final played at the Paul Biya Stadium, Olembé, in Cameroon last night.

The usual 90 minutes for football matches was not enough for a winner to emerge between the two countries. An additional extra time still couldn’t produce a winner as the game ended in a goalless draw.

However, the Senegalese team led by Sadio Mane took the show after brilliant penalty saves by Chelsea player, Edouard Osoque Mendy.
