2020/21 Ghana Premier League: Week 15 Match Report- Karela United 2-0 Liberty Professionals

Karela United ended the first round of the Ghana Premier League as leaders after cruising to a 2-0 win at the Crosby Awuah Park Sunday.Umar Bashiru and Kwame Boateng scored in the first and second halves respectively to ensure the Anyinase Boys return to winning ways at home.Three times MVP this season, Umar Bashiru met a brilliant Kwame Boateng cross in the 26th minute to hand Karela United the lead.The host controlled and dominated the half but could not take their chances before the break.Liberty Professionals has their moments after the break but Karela were very organized defensively stopping any threat from Abraham Wayo.Coach Stephen Abugri brought on Obed Sam and Franklin Osei for Richard Berko and Evans Sarfo respectively.The two brought a renewed energy to the home side and with the game almost over, Kwame Boateng struck to sealed victory for Karela United.The victory keeps them top of the log at the end of the first round for now, until Asante Kotoko clears their outstanding games.
